Hot Rod builds have to start somewhere…

Today, I started receiving quotes to build a frame for a 1933 Ford Coupe. The two companies that I am receiving quotes from are LRS Chassis in Mount Vernon, Missouri and Pete and Jake’s out of Peculiar, Missouri. I want this chassis to be built in a very particular fashion. Here is a list of what I am looking for in the base frame.

  • upper front shock towers
  • front panhard bracket
  • engine mounts for a LS1 motor
  • trans mount for a t56
  • Vega steering box mount
  • hairpin mount
  • manual master cylinder mount
  • Hydraulic clutch mount
  • rear panhard mount
  • rear ladder bar mounts
  • Narrow the rear of the chassis to help rear tire and wheel fitment, (maybe 3 inches)
  • C notch front and rear
  • Rear setup for a Winters quick-change rear end
